What is Bring Up Grades?

Bring Up Grades, or BUG is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades to an acceptable range, and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next. For the first time in a long while, we had members of both our Key Clubs, OCC Circle K, and Costa Mesa play a role in preparing the floats....

On Friday, December 18th, Kiwanians, Builders, and Boys & Girls Club (BGC) staff held a Christmas party for members of the BGC. Planned by the Builders, the party included Karaoke, games, snacks, and gifts for all. For the first time, we added face painting to the program. “Junior Staff,” older members, many of whom are former Builders helped with all the activities.

This is an important event as many of the children come from families that are having a difficult time economically right now. For some, this party is the bulk of their holiday celebration.

Thanks to all members of the Kiwanis family who participated in the event or donated gifts for the children. In addition to members...
